Physician-directed protocols
Peptide Therapy
Peptide therapy prescribed and managed by a board-certified physician. Every prescription is based on your clinical evaluation, your goals, current evidence, and FDA regulatory status. Medications are filled through licensed 503A compounding pharmacies.
Peptide therapy is a legitimate clinical tool when used correctly. Certain peptides can target specific biological processes like tissue repair, growth hormone optimization, metabolic function, and immune support. The problem is that the peptide space is flooded with misinformation, unregulated online vendors, and providers who prescribe without adequate clinical oversight or regard for FDA regulatory status.
Barrick Health operates differently. Every prescription is written by a board-certified physician after a clinical evaluation. When a peptide is clinically appropriate and eligible for 503A compounding under current FDA policy, the prescription is filled directly by a licensed compounding pharmacy. Barrick Health does not sell, dispense, or handle medications.
NAD+
A coenzyme central to cellular energy production, DNA repair, and metabolic function. NAD+ is eligible for compounding by licensed 503A pharmacies and is often prescribed as an injection because oral NAD+ has poor bioavailability. Used in clinical protocols focused on cellular health, recovery, and longevity medicine.
Glutathione
A tripeptide antioxidant produced naturally in the body and central to detoxification, immune function, and oxidative stress reduction. Glutathione has a USP monograph and an extensive clinical safety record, making it eligible for compounding by licensed 503A pharmacies. Used in clinical practice when oral absorption is inadequate.
PT-141 / Bremelanotide
An FDA-approved peptide for hypoactive sexual desire disorder. Works through the central nervous system rather than vascular pathways, offering a different mechanism than traditional treatments.
About peptide sourcing and safety
The peptide landscape is evolving rapidly, and not every peptide available online is safe, legal, or appropriate. Dr. Barrick only prescribes peptides that are eligible for compounding by licensed 503A pharmacies under current FDA policy. Prescriptions are filled directly by the pharmacy. Every prescription is based on your clinical evaluation, your goals, and what the evidence supports. If a peptide is not right for you, he will tell you.
Other peptides may be discussed during your clinical evaluation depending on your goals and medical history. Dr. Barrick only prescribes peptides that are eligible for compounding under current FDA policy and that are appropriate for your individual clinical situation.
A note on peptide costs
Your Barrick Health membership covers medical services: the clinical evaluation, prescribing, and ongoing oversight of your care. Peptide medications are billed directly by the compounding pharmacy, separate from your membership fees. Barrick Health does not bill for medications. Costs vary by peptide, dose, and pharmacy, and Dr. Barrick will discuss pricing and pharmacy options during your consultation so there are no surprises.
